September fundraising, website internationalization, new logo and other updates
Hello, ZLibrarians!
We would like to share the good news: the September fundraising campaign has been successfully completed. As you know every September and March we launch additional fundraising for the project maintenance and development. And thanks to your active support we are achieving our goals and moving forward! You are the best! We also know that many users failed to donate, but they really wanted to support us. Thank you very much for your efforts, we hope that by the next fundraising we will correct this situation.
Have you ever wondered how many languages are there in the world? A few months ago we asked ourselves whether it is convenient for users from different countries to use the English version of the site (the most complete and up-to-date version at that time) and realised that the project needs to be internationalized. So we would like to announce that we are translated into 28 languages now (some languages will be available soon): Arabic, Armenian, Azerbaijani, Bengali, Chinese, English, French, Georgian, German, Greek, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malaysian, Pashto, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Serbian, Spanish, Telugu, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Urdu, Vietnamese. Hooray! You can try it now by changing the language at the bottom of the page. Please inform us by email If you find any translation mistakes. We’ll be very grateful for your help!
Converting files. We have slightly increased the limit and now the files up to 8 MB are available for conversion. Unfortunately, we can’t increase it more due to the technical limitations :(
Sorting options in categories. We have recently added sorting options to make it easier to find books by the category. Opening the category page it’s possible to sort books by Popularity, Date Added, Title, Year, and Size.
By the way, have you noticed that our logo was changed? What do you think of that? Looking forward to your feedback :)
Also, we would like to thank all concerned users reading our blog regularly and leaving their comments on the blog posts! Getting your feedback and adding your suggestions to the list of future improvements, no one is left behind.

One suggestion for Rec2Me: You should add a button that removes a book that you have already read from the list. I've gotten recommendations for books that I've already downloaded, but in different formats/languages.

Hi, I use zlib in China, usually the network for downloading is very bad, when I try to do a batch downloading, a lot of them pending with very low downloading speed for a long time and then ending in bad token error and its false ratio is about 40% ! is there any way to help me improve my situation ?

Only if it's a collection it's necessary for me to complete these information. But, starting with 2 or 3 days ago this is not happening any more, all these area remain incomplete by the site. Hi ZLibrary Team, I checked today the new books uploaded and I see a lot of books probably written in Italian (by title, because most of them doesn't have uploaded cover) but all of them are sorted by "English" language. Maybe they are in English or not, but you can not know until you will download. I think it's a matter of decency from your users just to sort the correct language. I don't know if you have the possibility to "force" them to choose the correct language, but maybe you can find a method...Also it's so frustrating to upload books without covers...but alas, we can live with that. Thank you again !!

There also seems to be some glitch where the cover images for all results are the same and some of the links/different results all point to the same (incorrect) result.

Would it be possible to increase the number of pages allowed in the preview? Many books have not even got past the copyright and other pages in the front of the book, even the odd blank page, so that, when it comes to looking at the preview I often do not get to see a single page of worth out of the book! I think perhaps 20 or at a push, 15 pages is more useful.

I hope i made myself clear but I fear I did not. I s8 ply meant that, when one is looking at the preview of a book, by the time you get to the tenth page (the number of allowed previewable pages) you often have not even got to any proper or readable pages in the book because the first pages in most books are taken up with copyright information, publisher information, title pages or images, blank pages and other page that are quite useless to preview a sample of the actual book.
Therefore I am asking you if it is possible to increase the preview pages limit to 20 pages or at least 15. Or, have the pre iew pages tart in the middle of the book at a random page and then you could limit it to 10, as we would then get to see actual proper pages from the book!

For your mobi conversions, is there a way you can increase the 'export limit' for Kindle?
When I highlight passages and try to export, the Kindle app tells me the export limit is "-110%" for any book I convert here.
Presumably this is something you can set to 100%?

@yogi, we keep all genres of books, including such novels. If you don't like such books, you can just ignore it. Also, we are going to implement a filter for "fiction/non-fiction" books soon and you can choose what books you want to display.

And it is very irritating that from the uploaded English books there is often *almost only* the mentioned trash books, it is a HUGE disproportion that leads to the question: Why? For whom? Who would ever need those crap books in such uncountable amounts?

I have already sent you the Copyright Infringement takedown notice several times. Please share your stand on this.
